SilverSneakers is a fitness program for seniors (65+) that is included with qualifying Medicare health plans (Blue Cross Medicare Advantage, Platinum Blue, Senior Gold and other Medicare Supplement and SecureBlue plans). It provides access to thousands of fitness locations1 across the county. From weights and machines to group classes2 led by trained instructors, there are options for all fitness levels. This program helps our members improve their health, stay independent, and continue to do the things they like to do. This fitness program is free for those who have this benefit included with their health plan.

How do I get Started?
Visit Silversneakers.com/StartHere or call 833-226-1271 to get your SilverSneakers ID number and enroll today. You’ll get a basic fitness membership at participating locations in the SilverSneakers network at no cost to you.

PATNERED WITH RENEW ACTIVE® AND ONE PASS™
Renew Active® is insured by UnitedHealthcare® and One Pass™ is for individual plan holders of an eligible Medicare or Medicaid plan. As a perk of both of these plans you'll have a FREE standard membership to the Worthington Area YMCA. This gives you access to most YMCA program- additional fees may apply for specific programs.
To participate:
- Insured person must go to the Renew Active® and One Pass™ website, confirm your enrollment in the program – then generate and print your confirmation ID letter.
- Bring that confirmation ID to the YMCA membership desk and they will start the enrollment process. You will need to present the insurance confirmation, photo ID, and complete a YMCA membership application form. This FREE YMCA membership does not allow you to participate in the National Membership
- We will verify your eligibility with Optum Fitness Patner Portal, run a background check, process your YMCA membership, have your photo taken and issue you YMCA ID tag.

NIHCA Rewards offers eligible members monthly reimbursements for exercising a required minimum number of days per month. Members must join the Y and then enroll in the NIHCA Rewards program online to start receiving rewards.

DAY PASSES
ONE DAY GUEST PASS: Did you know that you do not have to be a Y member to enjoy the facility? All guests must complete a Participant & Guest Application and have their picture taken. A parent/legal guardian must complete this application on behalf of minor guests.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Membership payments will be drawn monthly on the 15th until the YMCA receives a signed cancellation form. Cancellation will take effect on the date indicated on the cancellation form or if prior to the 10th of the month it will be effective on the 15th of that month. If it is after the 10th of the month it will be effective on the 15th of the following month. If reactivating a membership that has been lapse for more than 30 days, the activation fee will be charged.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Here at the WORTHINGTON AREA YMCA, we award scholarships ranging from 20-60% off the membership rate, and 25-50% off the cost of qualified programs. Scholarships reduce fees, but do not eliminate them.
The Y believes a strong sense of ownership and pride is developed when our scholarship recipients contribute to the cost of their YMCA involvement. Awards are good for up to one year, at which time your membership will automatically terminate. If you would like to continue at the end of your time, you will need to complete this scholarship process again.
Please do not register for programs prior to your scholarship application being approved. The YMCA will not apply financial assistance to past registrations or memberships. After an application has been approved, assistance can be applied to all relevant memberships and programs moving forward through the expiration date.
Your fees are subject to increase, including when you reapply. If you do not reapply when requested, your enrollment will be terminated.
All YMCA members receive the same membership benefits, regardless of assistance qualification. YMCA members can feel great knowing that they are involved in an organization that cares greatly for the health and well-being of people and is committed to building strong kids, strong families, and strong communities.
