Active Teens

Are you a youth or teen who is 11-13 and would like to use the fitness center? If so, join Active Teens so you can get your pass to be able to use the fitness facility on your own before you are 14!

This class will teach fitness center etiquette, exercise programming, and proper form to be used in our fitness center. Tuesday/Thursday 3:15 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Adventure Day Camp

The YMCA and the City of Worthington are happy to announce that this year’s Fun and Adventure Day Camp is back with a new look. We will now be providing a full day camp opportunity for all grade school kids. Fun and Adventure Day Camp is a great place to send your children to give them an opportunity to come to the Y and enjoy themselves. All kids will participate in crafts, games, swimming, and field trips. Kids will also enjoy a nutritional lunch sponsored by Minnesota Vikings Children’s Fund. This will be an exciting program for your kids. Sign up today! Ages 5-10

Basketball Camp

Directed by Worthington High School Coach – Clint Meyer and held at the Worthington Area YMCA. Fee includes camp basketball for each camper. Our objective is to help everyone gain a stronger understanding of the game of basketball. We will work to develop fundamental skills with an emphasis on having fun.

Camp runs Monday, June 10th - Thursday June13th

Entering 1st - 3rd Grade 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Entering 4th - 6th Grade 10:15 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Girl POWERment

Inspire girls to stay true to themselves and live free from societal stereotypes. This 1 week program empowers girls to be strong inside and out by combining an introduction to a variety of physical activities, exploring creativity through arts and crafts followed by lessons that empower girls to celebrate their bodies, honor their voices and embrace their gifts. No prior athletic experience required. For girls entering grades 4-8th.

Topics include: Team building, Leadership, Identity & Diversity, Failure & Resilience, Self Compassion, Healthy Friendships, Growth Mindset, Anti-Bullying, My Changing Body.

Girl's Softball

This program provides a basic understanding of the game of softball. Teams participate in games with surrounding communities. Girls will participate in 2 tournaments. Must bring a glove.

Practice will begin the week of June 10th

For girls Entering 3rd - 6th grade

Pee Wee Ball

Pee Wee Ball is a summer Baseball program for youth exiting 1st and 2nd grade. In Pee Wee Ball, coaches will pitch to the kids. Please remember this is an age appropriate activity developed for this age group and our first priority is for the kids to have fun while learning and establishing good fundamentals. Practice begins the week of June 10th. Games are held Thursday nights, practice TBD by coaches.

Pre-School Day Camp

Pre-school day camp is approximately 5 weeks. Each participant will enjoy games, arts and crafts, snacks and lots of fun! A nutritional lunch sponsored by the Minnesota Vikings Children’s Fund will be provided to all participants.

Pre-school Boys & Girls 3 - 5 years old

June 4th - July 11th

Tues. & Thurs. Mornings 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m

T-Ball

T-Ball is a summer baseball program designed to give children the opportunity to have fun learning the fundamentals of Baseball while under adult supervision. T-Ball uses special bats and balls that are designed not to hurt on contact. Practice begins the week of June 10th. Games are held Wednesday nights, practice TBD by coaches.

Tennis

Our summer tennis program is the perfect opportunity to have fun and learn more about the game of tennis. This program teaches kids the fundamentals and rules of the game of tennis. This program is an opportunity to try something new if you have never played or to gain further experience. Minimum age of 6 years old and bring own racket.

Beginners: 9:00 am - 10:00 am

Intermediate: 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Session 1: June 6th – July 2nd

Session 2: July 9th - August 1st


Track & Field

This popular program is designed to increase skills in Track and Field events. Track and Field is an excellent opportunity to try out new athletic events. This program continues to be one of our best programs! Track and Field meets at the Trojan Field Track.

Boys and Girls Ages 6 - 14 years

Practices beginning Monday, June 10th Monday/Wednesday/Friday

9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. 6 - 9 years

10:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. 10 -14 years

Volleyball Camp

Y-Scramblers

This program is for any youth age 8 and up that wishes to participate in structured rock climbing. This program will allow youth to learn more about rock climbing as well as practice under supervised guidance.

Mondays and Wednesdays. 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Session 1: July 8th – July 31st (8 sessions)

Session 2: August 5th – August 28th (8 sessions)
